Experience
Public health volunteer  Amigos de Las Americas in 1983 (Northern region of Costa Rica), 1984 (Cajamarca region of Peru), 1985 (Michoacán, Mexico), and 1988 (Oaxaca, Mexico). The latter two years were in supervisory positions responsible for a dozen other teen-aged volunteers.
1985 Began undergraduate studies in the humanities at Reed College in Portland, Oregon with a focus in anthropology. Designed and produced student newspaper, The Reed College Quest.
1987 Transferred to World College West, in California studying International Service and Development, with two trimesters in Michoacán, Mexico.
1992–1996  J. Walter Thompson, San Francisco ad agency
Maintained software for 80 Macs in the art department and taught art directors how to employ personal computers in their workflows. Assigned the role of “online technology specialist” in 1996, I became the company’s first webkeeper.
1996–present  Freelance graphic design and art direction
I distill complex ideas into clear visuals. The past three decades, my focus has been building visuals for live events. These are built to run in Keynote, Powerpoint, Millumin and various other presentation systems and media servers. I work primarily through production companies for end clients including Apple, Gartner, Adobe, LinkedIn, and many others.
Technical skills 
Graphic design and multimedia production Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere, Audition, along with many other tools for creating and editing visuals, video and audio. I’m adept in creating presentations in Keynote, Millumin, Powerpoint.
Website management  My own website, iMorgan.com began as a self-maintained blog in 1996, using a PHP-based CMS called Textpattern. I have stayed familiar with Wordpress, Squarespace and other content management systems, along with maintaining a basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and a detailed understanding of how to prepare text, images, video and audio for use online.
Professional photography  Aside from my design work, I have decades of experience in documentary photography. My work has appeared in the New York Times, Boston Globe, Grist, and Afar, as well as in promotional materials for various non-profits and charities.
